News about Eid Ul Fitr In Pakistan. KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast that Eid al Fitr is likely to fall on April 22 in Pakistan as it would not be possible to see the moon on Thursday from anywhere in the country.
The prediction of the meteorological office is based on the occurrence of a solar eclipse that will take place on Thursday, April 20, beginning at 6:30 am and ending at 12 noon.
The eclipse would occur on the 29th day of the lunar date, and the new moon would appear the next day. The astronomers affirmed that the new moon would not be visible in the countries where the solar eclipse occurred on April 20.

The center said the sighting of the crescent of the moon on Thursday (Ramadan 29) would not be possible from anywhere in the Arab and Islamic world, so Eid will fall on Saturday, April 22.
