Health Department Government Jobs November 2024
In November 2024, the Government of Sindh’s Health Department announced new job openings to fill positions with qualified specialists to support the National Health Support Program. The International Development Association (IDA) is providing funding for these positions, which will be overseen by the Program Management Unit (PMU). Available Positions and Qualifications
- Public Health Specialist (PPS-10)
- Qualification: MBBS with a Master’s in Health Policy Management, Public Health, Healthcare & Hospital Management, or equivalent.
- Experience: 10+ years in health services, public health program development, or program implementation. Proficiency in research, analytical skills, and understanding of health regulations and systems is essential.
- Surveillance and Research Specialist (PPS-09)
- Qualification: MBBS with a Master’s in Health Policy Management, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or equivalent.
- Experience: 10+ years in health program research and surveillance. Skills in SPSS, SAS, STATA, or equivalent are required, along with strong communication and analytical skills.
- Communication Specialist (PPS-09)
- Qualification: Master’s in Media, Communications, Public Administration, or related fields.
- Experience: 12+ years in government or non-government organizations, with expertise in developing health messages, including SBCC/IEC material.
- Financial Management Specialist (PPS-09)
- Qualification: Master’s in Finance, Economics, preferably ACCA/CN/CMA.
- Experience: 10+ years in financial management, project audits, and donor sector projects. Must be proficient in report writing and have strong communication skills.
- Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist (PPS-09)
- Qualification: Master’s in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Public Health, or Management Sciences.
- Experience: 10+ years in monitoring and evaluation within government or non-government organizations. Proficiency in SPSS, SAS, and STATA is required.
- Gender-cum-Training Specialist (PPS-09)
- Experience: 10+ years in gender-based violence and gender-specific program management, with an ability to train on gender sensitivity.
- Qualification: Master’s in Gender Studies, Sociology, or Anthropology.
Application Process
- Prepare Documents: Applicants should prepare an Expression of Interest (EOI), along with a detailed financial CV that highlights qualifications and experience. Two passport-size photographs, CNIC copies, degrees, and certificates are also required.
- Submission: Submit applications in person or by registered mail to the Program Director, National Health Support Program, Health Department, Government of Sindh. Applications must be submitted within 14 days of the announcement date (November 8, 2024).
- Selection Process: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Applicants already in government service must apply through proper channels.
