How to calculate the aggregate? To find this out, you need to know how much weight each section has. For example, if a university is considering MDCAT, Fsc, and matric, then you need to know how much percentage from each section counts.
If you are an Fsc student then this may also give you a direction. You will get a target. The aggregate will give you a target. You will have to obtain this target. Only after this, you can secure a seat in your dream college.
In this article, we will guide you about the exact same thing.
MDCAT AGGREGATE DIVISION. Here is a simple formula.
MDCAT = 50%
Fsc or A-levels = 50%
MARKS DIVISION IN MDCAT
Understanding the marks division in MDCAT is also essential as it gives you the idea of how to prepare for your MDCAT. This eventually will give you an idea of how much effort you should put into your aggregate in each subject. For example, you of course have to put more time and effort into subjects that will give you more marks. The marks distribution is as follows
Subject Number of MCQs
Biology 68
Chemistry 56
Physics 56
English 20
Logical reasoning 10
Previously, each MCQ had 5 marks, and attempting a wrong question would give you a minus 6. But now, each question carries one mark and you do not have to suffer the atrocities of negative marking. You can freely solve your question paper and not have to deal with this torture. The new policy now tests your nerves and logical reasoning through the logical reasoning section.
So work hard according to this scheme. The next section of this blog talks about how to do the calculation
How to Calculate The Aggregate?
This calculation is pretty simple and straightforward. There is no rocket science behind it. All you have to do is use the following formulae
(The Marks obtained in Intermediate/ Total marks in Intermediate) x 50 —- Formula A
(Marks obtained in MDCAT/ Total marks in MDCAT) x 50 ——— Formula B
Now, all you have to do is add the answers to Formula A and B and you will get your answer. This is how simple it was. You could do this so simply. But, if you think that you will have problems if matric marks are included anywhere then we can guide you about that missing step too. The following example is from the previous policy. You may rearrange the formula according to the new policy. If you still find it difficult, you can ask us in the comments section.
(Marks obtained in Intermediate/ Total marks in Intermediate) x 50 —- Formula A
(The Marks obtained in MDCAT/ Total marks in MDCAT) x 40 ——— Formula B
(Marks obtained in Matric/ Total marks in Matric) x 10 ——– Formula C
Add A, B, and C to get your aggregate.
