Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls – Bachelor’s 2022-23

The Scotland and Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls fund postgraduate studies for Pakistani women at any HEC recognized university across Pakistan. Funded by the Scottish Government, these grants aim to make higher education more accessible to women, helping them achieve their potential and ambitions.

The Scotland, Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls are also offered at the undergraduate level for a four-year bachelor’s degree.

The British Council will administer the scheme in Pakistan and will liaise with selected academics and universities, either directly or through designated university focal persons.

The Award

The Scotland and Pakistan Scholarship Program for Young Women and Girls will facilitate award holders with the following:

Tuition fees for courses in eligible fields

University hostel costs (when applicable)

Round trips to and from the university twice a year for students staying in campus hostels

Thematic areas

The scholarship will cover a four-year Bachelor’s degree at a HEC-recognized Pakistani public university in one of the following subject areas only:

Eligibility Criteria

These scholarships are open to female applicants only.

Additionally, applicants must:

Be Pakistani citizens currently residing in Pakistan

Be pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree in the subject areas listed above

Have a confirmed offer of admission from a HEC recognized university in Pakistan

Young women with disabilities, from rural areas and/or minority groups are encouraged to apply.

Term

The last date to submit the application is October 20, 2022. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted or considered.
