The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority is an independent and autonomous agency of the Federal Government of Pakistan that maintains the water and electricity service in the state. It was established after independence in 1958 by an Act of Parliament.
WAPDA owns the largest dams in Pakistan and actively monitors and manages the demands and needs of Pakistan’s commercial and domestic sectors. It is also planning to complete another five multi-use dams to meet the growing needs of the power sector.
WAPDA aims to produce affordable clean and hygienic energy for the citizens of Pakistan so that electricity tariffs can be reduced, taking into account the needs of consumers. The company has an independent network throughout the country.

Field/Disciplines and Eligibility Criteria:
This WAPDA internship program for recent graduates is offered in various disciplines such as electrical/electronic and mechanical engineering, civil engineering, finance and accounting, human resources and management, mass communication, and media.
The period of this internship program is eight weeks. A total of 50 positions are being opened. Selected interns will be offered Rs. 10,000/- per month. Recent graduates and recent graduates can apply. The maximum age limit is 26 years.
Candidates from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir and Ex-FATA are eligible for this internship program.
